After the premiere

Vielä on mahdollisuus nähdä Kipinät tositoimissa kaksi kertaa!

Ensimmäinen esitys oli suuri menestys ja katsomo oli aivan täynnä.
Joten jos ette olleet paikalla silloin, nyt kipin kapin kahteen muuhun esitykseen!

Esitykset ovat tänään (31.5.2012) Kansalaistalolla klo 11 ja Väen talolla kello 19. (Jokikatu 8)

Esityksiin on vapaa pääsy. Mukana musiikkia ja monenlaisia tunteita.

Kuten aiemmin mainitsin, eilinen esitys meni todella hyvin. Ensi-ilta oli siis eilen.

Yleisön palaute oli hyvä.

Ilta ennen ensi-iltaa/The night before the premiere

Näytelmä on niin valmis kuin näytelmä voi olla. Se on esitetty harjoitusyleisön edessä hyvällä menestyksellä. Saimme kommentteja, joiden mukaan näytelmämme herättää ajatuksia. Näytelmäämme voi tulkita monin erin tavoin.

Ohjaajana olen erittäin tyytyväinen. Näyttelijät ovat rohkeita ja taitavia. Näytelmä herättää katsojissa monenlaisia ajatuksia. Näytelmä on mielestäni todellinen yhteistyön tulos. Olemme luoneet sen yhdessä, ja minulla on etuoikeus olla yksi näytelmän luojista. Ehkä tärkeintä on silti se, että olemme tutustuneet toisiimme, löytäneet meitä kiinnostavan aiheen (maailmanloppu) ja monia eri näkökulmia aiheeseen.

Huominen ensi-ilta jännittää hieman. Mitä yleisö sanoo? Miten näyttelijät ja yleisö kohtaavat? Samaan aikaan tiedän, että kaikki tulee sujumaan hyvin.

Tervetuloa meidän kanssamme matkalle maailmanloppuun!

The play is as ready as it can be. It has been performed to a rehearsal audience with a good success. We were told that the play gives thoughts. Our play can be interpreted in many different ways.

As a director I am very pleased. The actors are courageous and full of skills. The play gives a lot of thoughts to the spectators. I think the play is a result of a true co-operation. We have created it together, and I am privileged to be one of the creators. Maybe, after all, what is the most important is that we have got to know each other, found a theme we are interested in (the end of the world) and many different angles to the theme.

Thinking about the premiere tomorrow makes me a bit excited. What will the audience say? How do the actors and the audience meet each other? At the same time I know everything will go well.

I welcome you to join us to the trip to the end of the world!

Mikä Kipinät? What is Kipinät?

Kipinät - The Sparkles on tammikuussa 2012 perustettu monikulttuurinen teatteriryhmä. Ryhmä toimii Joensuussa. Ryhmään kuuluu tällä hetkellä yhteensä kuusi ihmistä, jotka ovat kotoisin Somaliasta, Venäjältä, Espanjasta ja Suomesta.

Teemme teatteriesitystä devising-teatterin keinoin. Se tarkoittaa, että kun aloitimme, meillä ei ollut valmista näytelmän käsikirjoitusta. Ensin valitsimme aiheen, joka kiinnosti meitä kaikkia. Aiheeksemme tuli maailmanloppu. Sen jälkeen aloimme kerätä tietoa maailmanlopusta. Olemme esimerkiksi lukeneet lehtiä, kuunnelleet musiikkia ja keskustelleet, mitä maailmanloppu oikeastaan tarkoittaa. Samalla olemme miettineet, miten kaikesta keräämästämme tiedosta voisi tehdä näytelmän. Näytelmä on rakentunut pala palalta. Lopuksi olemme laittaneet palaset peräkkäin. Näin on syntynyt kokonainen näytelmä, melkein tyhjästä!


Kipinät - The Sparkles is a multicultural theater group located in Joensuu, Finland. The group was founded in January 2012. At the moment The Sparkles consists of six people who are from Somalia, Russia, Spain and Finland.

We are creating a play using a method called devising theater. It means that when we started, we didn't have a ready-made script for the play. First we chose a topic that we all we interested in. Our topic is the end of the world. Next we started to collect information on the end of the world. We have, for example, been reading newspapers, listening to music and discussing on what the end of the world actually means. At the same time we have been thinking, how all this information could be put in a play. The play has been built piece by piece. Finally, we have put the pieces in a row. And, like this, a whole play has been born, almost from scratch!

Radiohaastattelussa

Ensi-illan varma merkki on se, kun ohjaaja alkaa saada puheluja tuntemattomista numeroista. Iloksemme projektimme ylitti uutiskynnyksen ja Yle Pohjois-Karjalan radiosta soitettiin ja pyydettiin meitä haastatteluun. Siispä tänään aamupäivällä Isabel ja minä istuuduimme haastateltaviksi Kansalaistalon pöydän ääreen.

Toimittaja kyseli meiltä ensin niitä näitä, lähinnä taustatietoja projektistamme. Sitten alkoi varsinaisen haastattelun nauhoitus. Haastattelu oli ohi nopeasti. Meiltä kysyttiin esimerkiksi, miten olemme ymmärtäneet toisiamme ja tulemmeko tapaamaan toisiamme vielä projektin loputtua. Kipinät - The Sparkles -nimeä kehuttiin säkenöiväksi ja ylpeinä kerroimme, että valitsimme nimen itse ja että nimi kuvaa meitä hyvin.

Haastattelu tulee radiosta huomenna, 22.5. klo 13.40. Se on osa juttusarjaa nimeltä Jokapäiväinen taiteemme. Haastattelu kuullaan Pohjois-Karjalan radiossa, Radio Savossa ja Etelä-Savon radiossa. Jos hyvin käy, juttu tulee myös Yle Areenaan.

You know for sure that a premiere is on its way, when the director starts to get phone calls from unfamiliar numbers. For our joy our project was interesting enough to wake up the media and Yle Pohjois-Karjalan radio (a local radio station) called us asking us for an interview. So, this morning Isabel and me sat down to be interviewed at Kansalaistalo.

First the reporter asked a bit of this and that, mainly some background information on our project. Then it was time to record the actual interview. It was over quickly. The reporter asked, for example, how we have understood each other and are we going to meet after the project is over. Our name, Kipinät - The Sparkles - was praised to be sparkling and proudly we told we chose the name ourselves and that it describes us well.

The interview comes out tomorrow, 22nd May, at 13.40. It is a part of a series called Jokapäiväinen taiteemme (Our daily art). The interview can be heard on Pohjois-Karjalan radio, Radio Savo and Etelä-Savon radio (three local radios in Eastern Finland). If we are lucky, the interview will also be added to Yle Areena.

Näytelmän runko alkaa pikku hiljaa olla selkeä. :)

 (Joku voisi sanoa, että on jo aikakin, kun ensi-iltaan on aikaa kaksi viikkoa ja kaksi päivää! ;) )

Perjantai

Heipä hei täältä ruudun takaa! Ensimmäinen kirjoitukseni tähän blogiin. Jännittääkö? No ei. :)

Kotiuduin vähän aikaa sitten Kipinät-ryhmän harjoituksista, jotka sijoittuivat esityspaikkanakin toimivan Väentalon lisäksi Joensuun torille. Koska nyt on perjantai-ilta, torilla, kuten myös torilavalla, oli paljon väkeä kuka missäkin puuhissa. Siksi oli myös hauska katsoa heidän reaktioitaan meidän vetäessämme harjoituksia lavalla muiden ihmisten seassa.

Eräänä erityisen huvittavana seikkana pidimme sitä, että juuri kun olimme saaneet esityksemme harjoitukset lopetettua (ja esityksen loppu sisältää hyvin kovaäänisen yhteenoton), poliisiauto kaartoi paikalle. Ei se toki meidän takiamme tullut, mutta saimme asiasta naurun aihetta, sillä olimme aiemmin vitsailleet jonkun kutsuvan poliisin meidän toimiemme takia.

Ja muistakaapa tulla huomenna tuonne Mahdollisuuksien torille seuraamaan meitä kello 11.20!

Kipinät - The Sparkles esittäytyy Joensuun Mahdollisuuksien torilla lauantaina 12.5.2012. Esiintymisvuoromme on Joensuun kauppatorin torilavalla klo 11.20-11.30. Tule kuulemaan, millaisen esityksen parissa työskentelemme!
